In Langkawi

Hi!I am in Langkawi, Malaysia right now and to me it's one of the beautiful places on the earth. Langkawi is a small island in kedah and its also known as jewel of Kedah. It is a good spot for water sports and it is known as great place for scuba diving ๐Ÿ˜Š.
This is our last day here and I will give you brief summary of what we have been up to until now ☺
On our first day here we enjoyed the beach and the hotel. As the waves were high we couldn't go banana boat riding and parasailing ๐Ÿ˜• I had so much fun soaking my feet, collecting sea shells and walking on the beach ☺ though the sand does have  a way of collecting in the most uncomfortable places ๐Ÿ˜‘.
Any ways next day we went for a boat ride at the langkawi Geo Park. It consists of a tour of crocodile cave, bat cave and monkey and eagle feeding. The tour started with eagle feeding unfortunately I couldnt catch it on the camera. Then we fed some monkeys along the way and let me tell you that due to childhood incident I am reaฤบly scared of monkeys and that is why I am immensely proud of the picture I took when one jumped into our boat (very close to me).

Kids were pretty scared when they heard we were going to the crocodile cave but the our guide explained that there really used to be a lot of crocodiles here but due to global warming and increase and sea levels they have abandoned the cave. To tell you the truth I wanted to see a crocodile and I was a bit disappointed when we didn't encounter one.
We left for bat cave then and I am happy to say that we did see a lot of bats there! I even felt a few fly past me and I wasn't even a little scared๐Ÿ˜Š. We could only tour one cave as the second cave had met the same fate as the crocodile cave ๐Ÿ˜ฆ

After that we had a lovely time touring the blue sea surrounding the island. It was a fun bumpy ride.

We went for a helicopter ride the next day and as it was absolutely fantastic. I wanted to do it again and again but one ride had costed us 550 ringgit's ( the name of Malaysian currency) we are 14 people in total.

The third day we spent in hotel and enjoyed a relaxing foot massage and the beach and that is the day I got really sick and because of that I missed the cruise to marine island with my family. I so wanted to go scuba diving there but I could barely move out of bed ๐Ÿ˜ฃ. We will be leaving for Penang tomorrow. I hope I will be able to go for parasailing and banana boat riding there!
                 Yours sincerely,
                          Ashi.
P.S did you happen to catch the Germany vs Portugal world cup match?? It was awesome, no offense to Portuguese fans but their team got annihilated!
OLE OLE OLA!!

seduce me at sunrise by Lisa Kleypas

Blurb: Win is tired of being the weak one.She has spent half her life depending on others, especially Merripen, because of  the scarlet fever that left her frail and weak. She is determined to make her self strong again even if she has to leave everyone she loves, her siblings and Merripen, behind. Win gives Merripen the last chance to express his feelings before she leaves but he refuses to do so as he feels undeserving of her love.
Merripen is a gypsy who was found injured by the Hathaway's. They took him in and took care of him but the only reason he stayed was because of Win. He fell in love with her and has been watching over her and odd siblings for a long time. He is left devastated when Win leaves for France for her treatment.
The two years they have spent separated has left them changed....Will they be able to recognize and love each other despite the changes?
review:
This is another sweet romantic tale by Lisa Kleypas and the second book in her Hathaway's series. Win and Merripen make an adorable couple though their stubbornness can drive one crazy. In this story there is nothing that keeps them apart except that they love each other too much. Merripen is a gypsy and in their time they weren't given much respect in society and if he marries Win he will be condemning her to a life of isolation. He does not realize that all Win wants is to be with him and when he doesn't give in she turns to the doctor who treated her in France.
It is a light pleasant read though not one of Lisa's great works though.

why????

I woke up to the news that the Karachi Airport had been attacked and many innocent people lost their lives.
Why can't they leave us alone?? What have we done to deserve this??
How many more will lose their lives because some people are too crazy and selfish to care about the damage they do?
I think I can say it for all my family that we were too miserable to enjoy the beauty around us. Malaysia is a really beautiful country and the weather here is pleasant, not too hot aand enough cloudy to allow a walk around the Kuala Lumpur.
I am visiting my uncle here and we spent they day at their place catching up with them. I finally got access to reliable Internet connection ☺.
Right now I am too upset to do any thing but I will read a Kelly Armstrong novel, Haunted before I go to bed to take my mind off all the lives lost. If I don't I am sure I will go crazy.....

Mine till midnight by Lisa Kleypas

Blurb: Amelia is the eldest sister of the Hathaway siblings and has had no problems managing all her siblings except for her brother Leo. When Leo dissappear for three days she has no choice but to go look for him in the seedy parts of the London. She never thought that in her quest to find her brother she will find an intriguing gypsy, Cam Rohan.
Cam Rohan is a manager of a gentleman's club and has a good luck curse. As a gypsy he abhors collecting wealth but he can't seen to get rid of his wealth no matter how much he tries it only returns to him on tenfold. When he find Amelia Hathaway he can't help but be attracted to her simple beauty. Somehow he ends up helping her in her quest which ends with a passionate kiss and a stolen ribbon.
They thought they will never see each other again and no one is more superseded than them when they do. They more they try to stay away the more the end up together.....will these seemingly different people overcome their internal struggle to be with each other forever??
Review: Lisa keypad has an amazing ability to make her characters alive. They are living breathing people with flaws like real people. Amelia and Cam are an odd couple but things are always odd where Hathaways are concerned. The Hathaway siblings are an eccentric bunch and a lot of fun to read. Well written with strong characters Mine till midnight is a great read!

Mini Siam- small thailand

Day 2
We had breakfast at nine and went to the hotel pool afterwards. We had decided to go to Mini Siam but as it was very hot we decided to go in evening. Mini Siam is a park where there are miniature replicas of Thailands important buildings. There were some replicas of worlds important monuments. It turned out my wish for a heavy rainfall wasn't going to get fulfilled as it wasn't even cloudy. Sigh.....Even though it was hot as hell we had a lot of fun going through the park.
It was very well maintained and we took several pics.

In Pattaya, Thailand!!

Day 1
I am finally here! The weather is awesome cloudy and humid though I am hoping that it rains soon. We got here via Cathay pacific airplane and even though I never fall asleep during air travel this time I slept for four hours straight (we had departed at 12 am according to Karachi time). But I woke up in time to capture some amazing shots from my new mobile ๐Ÿ˜Š.

I felt lie I was passing by some other world, perhaps the Cloud Kingdom๐Ÿ˜€. Any ways after we landed and want through the whole airport process we rented a cab and started towards Pattaya Thailand. We spent half the day resting and left for a walk around the city in evening.
View from my balcony ๐Ÿ˜€
Though the beach here is awesome the city it self isn't that pretty. It made me sad to see all the brothels on streets, though all the colourful boards were mesmerizing.
We browsed through small shops and hawkers and found little trinkets to buy. I am sure we were getting ripped off but the prices werent that high. We mistakenly walked in to a red light area, the walking street and made a sharp u-turn as my siblings are too young. There transport system her is amazing there are open vans that pick and drop people all around the city. We got back and had canned halal food that mom had packed. We plan to go to the beach tomorrow and Mini Siam ( siam= former name of Thailand), where there are miniatures of all the important buildings from around the world ๐Ÿ˜Š.

update......

I haven't blogged in such a long time I feel weird typing this post right now. I have been busy studying and then I had to prepare for my summer vacations. Even though I live very close to sea it has been very long that I have submerged my feet in calming sea water. I had to make do with short drive along the beach while transporting my sister to and fro her classes. Therefore I can't wait to get to Thailand! I have also downloaded a lot of books and if I have WiFi I promise I will be keeping you up to date. Right now I am lost among flip flops, shirts, caps and tunes of sunblock. Only rereading some of Julie Garwood 's Historical have kept me sane. I will be posting soon. Take care!
